Customer Reviews
Once received the unit was prepped for operation. The first run was on gasoline, using approximately 1/2 gallon and following the instructions pressed the start button and off it went! Very impressed!!! After it ran dry (out of gas) I switched it over to propane. Through several attempt to get it running the battery went dead. I called Duromax in Calif. (customer service) and she shipped out a new battery immediately. I told her that it was hard starting on propane. She informed me that at times it requires a hotter spark plug and gave me the part number to order one online or purchase one locally. I also found out that after connecting the propane line onto the inlet port you need to loosen the fitting slightly (propane bottle turned on) and bleed the air out of the line first. The manual doesn't indicate this step. Once I installed the hotter plug and bled the air from the propane hose it too took off like a scorched rabbit!! I test ran it on propane using the setup explained over a half dozen times and it starts right up. Very happy with the purchase and I rest assured it will perform well when needed! I would definitely buy this unit again. I think Duromax needs to update their manual to reflect the issue of bleeding and replacing the plug. Just remember it ran great on gasoline, propane is less explosive that gas and needs a little help.
