The South Bend SB1117 is a heavy-duty 9" x 138-1/2" oscillating edge sander designed for high-capacity sanding of edges, contours, bevels, and surface imperfections. Its 3 HP motor drives the belt at 4120 FPM, while 1/4" oscillation helps deliver a smoother, more consistent finish and extends usable belt area.
Built for precision and versatility, it features a long graphite-coated platen, a large main table, and an auxiliary contour sanding table with 8" of vertical travel for rounded workpieces. Both tables tilt up to 45 degrees for accurate bevel sanding, and the height handwheel makes it easy to position the work to get maximum use from the belt.
This machine is well suited for professional woodshops, cabinetmakers, furniture builders, and serious makers who need industrial-level performance.
