Product Overview
The Hobart 500553 Handler 210MVP MIG Welder is an industrial performance welder that is spool gun ready for aluminum. Running on either 115V or 230V input power, this Hobart MIG welder welds up to 3/8 in. mild steel and is flux-cored or MIG ready. The seven voltage sections, enhanced magnetics, and infinite wire feed speed control of this Handler MIG welder allow you to fine control the output parameters for improved arc performance with less spatter. The 210MVP MIG welder also accepts an uncomplicated, easy-to-install direct plug-in SpoolRunner 100 spool gun that allows you to weld aluminum with enhanced feed ability and reduction of "bird-nesting".

Features
- 7 voltage selections (230V), 4 voltage selections (115V), enhanced magnetics and infinite wire feed speed control offers easier fine control for improved arc performance with less spatter for a better bead appearance and less cleanup
- Built-in contactor eases use and is an excellent safety feature which makes wire electrically "cold" when not welding
- Patented, exclusive 3-groove drive roll makes switching from one groove to another extremely easy, eliminating the frustration for users running small diameter (.023/.024./.025) carbon steel MIG wire for exhaust work and auto body applications
- Flux core and MIG welding capabilities
- Welds mild steel, flux-cored, stainless and aluminum
- Welds 24 ga. to 3/8 in. steel in a single pass
- Operates on either 115V or 230V power with included Multi-Voltage Plug
- Output range of 25–140A using 115V input and Output range of 25–210A using 230V input
- 30% duty cycle at 150 amps
- 3 groove roll handles 0.024 V-Smooth, 0.030/0.035 V-Smooth and 0.030/0.035 V-Knurled wire
- Industrial cast aluminum drive system for extended durability
- Handles 2lb. or 10lb. spools (sold separately)
- Easy setup with the SpoolRunner 100 Spool gun (Item #20868, sold separately) allows for enhanced feedability and reduced “bird-nesting” associated with soft aluminum wires
- Integrated spool gun control circuitry is standard, requiring no additional control box or adapter to connect the SpoolRunner 100 spool gun
- Short circuit protection protects unit against current overload
- Self-resetting thermal overload protects power transformer to ensure reliability
- Self-resetting motor protection protects wire feed system from overload, no fuses to change or circuit breaker buttons to reset
