The Grizzly G1033X is a heavy-duty 20-inch planer built for production-level woodworking and demanding everyday shop use. Its 4-row helical cutterhead uses 92 indexable carbide inserts set at a slight angle for smooth shearing cuts, reduced tearout, a cleaner surface, and quieter operation. With a maximum planing width of 20 inches, a maximum stock thickness of 8 inches, and two feed speeds of 16 or 28 feet per minute, it is designed to balance finish quality with efficient material throughput.
A long precision-ground cast-iron bed, adjustable bed rollers, and ball-bearing return rollers help stock feed smoothly and consistently. The 4-column design with table locks, anti-kickback fingers, and pedestal-mounted controls make this machine well suited for high-volume planing where stability, control, and repeatable results matter.
