Product Overview
The Grizzly G0970 is a 14-inch vertical metal-cutting bandsaw designed for accurate, efficient cutting in small fabrication shops, maintenance spaces, and serious home workshops. With a 3/4 HP motor and gear-reduction drive, it delivers metal-friendly blade speeds of 161, 270, and 378 FPM for cutting a wide range of stock.
Built for control and consistency, it features tungsten carbide guide blocks, a cast-iron fence, an aluminum miter gauge, and a precision-ground cast-iron table. The 14-inch by 14-inch table tilts 15 degrees left and 45 degrees right, while the 13-1/4-inch throat and 6-inch maximum cutting height give it the capacity for many common metalworking tasks.
Durable cast-iron wheels, a heavy-duty stand, and a lower wheel brush help promote smoother operation and a cleaner cutting area. A quick-release blade tensioner simplifies blade changes, and the flexible LED work light helps keep the cut line visible during detailed work.
