I bought this for my wife to use as a more capable mobility scooter. For my wife, this scooter doesn't work well at all. The throttle sensitivity isn't right for a mobility scooter, you need to twist it quite far for it to engage, and when it does engage, you take off very quickly. When you then decrease the throttle, it brakes as soon as you hit the dead band, so you stop immediately. I feel the throttle and brake response is actually dangerous for someone has limited balance and/or strength, as they could fall off the scooter, or run into something when accelerating unexpectedly.
With the one I received, the front-end assembly was shoddy, the steering/wheel alignment was way off. It took some effort to get the wheels aligned properly. The steering limits were also not set correctly causing the fender mounts to come in contact with the tie rod ends.
The fenders are cheap plastic and the mounts are thin steel that flex and make noise over every bump. The mounts should have been cast aluminum to eliminate flex. The fenders will not likely hold up to any impact, I will be looking for steel or aluminum ones.
The battery life seems excellent, I bought an extra battery for potential longer excursions though. The torque and acceleration is also quite good, aside from the dead band on the throttle. It quickly gets up to 15mph, that seems to be a limit set in the controller, I think with modifications, it could go faster.
The baskets and mounting hardware is a joke, going over a bump caused a basket to bend the mount enough for the basket to fall to the ground. The rear basket tower doesn't fit tightly so makes lots of noise. I was missing the bolt for the hitch pin, maybe with the correct bolt, it wouldn't move around as much.
I don't think it's worth nearly the $4000+ price it's listed for. The cart is a good platform for mods, but if that's what I wanted, I would have ordered one from China or built one myself.
With all of this, I will say that FactoryPure and Green Transporter have been amazing at trying to help get through some of the issues we've had. While the cart/scooter is made in China, the support team is in the US and speaks English and they are very courteous and responsive.
