I purchased the 4188xt in March of 2022. I had been trained on a few models by another manufacturer but have never used the Forebest scope. I was starting my business, so this was budget-friendly, and it fit well in my work truck. Transportation and carrying up to the roof, if needed, is pretty simple. When I first purchased I had a few multi-family inspections that I used nearly all 200ft of the pushrod. Fast forward a couple hundred inspections later I noticed the pushrod was deflecting more when I would push on it vs moving the camera forward. It happened slowly, but it made inspections more challenging. I'm in the process of replacing the cable. Video uploads are done off-site and to my YouTube channel. Screen quality in the field is not great, but your video quality is much better, so the client gets a great video. If you use IOS and want to view it directly, you will have some challenges. Converting video is a pain versus uploading, as I mentioned. Customer service has been great. I've purchased a couple of slides directly from Forebest. I have recently just purchased a new 4188kB with the 8mm cable this should be a nice addition to my toolset.

I am a home inspector that offers sewer camera inspections. I have been using Forbest cameras for roughly 5 years. The reason I chose a forbest product was mostly based on the price. I started with a 3188sd I didn’t expect much. Once I became comfortable with using the camera I was able to add upgrades like a self leveling camera head, sonde transmitter and locater. The camera works phenomenal for its price. I perform roughly 200 sewer inspections a year. The small cable is flexible yet rigid for pushing. I found that when using the this system in old cast Iron pipes tends to wear the cable thin causing it to break over time which I consider to be normal wear (more than satisfied). I recently decided to upgrade to a 4188xt and once again I was not disappointed. I worked with a sales rep who helped me choose the right system. The reason I chose this for an upgrade was because most of the parts were interchangeable between my old and new systems such as the self leveling camera head. I have worked with several sewer repair professionals through the years and seen multiple other systems. The ridgid seesnake’s comparable model is 3-4 times the price of the my set up and in my opinion doesn’t work any better. Joanna is always my go to for support when I need replacement parts such as spring kits. Joanna is awesome to work with!!! I purchased the 4188xt about 18 months ago. Everything is working fine. Nice clear video and sound. I've already done about 1,000 inspections with it. The video looks just as good today as it did with my first inspection. I would definitely buy this again.
