We bought the insert along with the blower and the large faceplate. It was easy to install in our fireplace and I used the Drolet VOLKI-625 6" X 25' Vortex Stainless Flex Liner Kit for the chimney. Took me about a day to get everything in and set up. The insert is great. Large window for viewing the fire and the faceplate blocks any cold air trying to come down the chimney.
This is the issue. The blower does not seat very well and if the upper left side is not making contact with the insert, the blower will not come on. When sliding the blower into place, only the left side or the right side will make contact with the insert. I looked online and others had this issue too, so for now I had to wedge a screw under the left side of the blower while pushing it tightly into the insert to keep it in contact.
Once the blower comes on, the heat pours into the house. The first picture is when my wife was home all day and constantly tending to the fire.
Got the wood stove VERY quickly...was suprised actually. Was packaged well but there was a couple of minor issues with the order. Emailed customer support and they worked with Drolet to have the issues resolved and was again very impressed with how quickly we recieved replacement items from Drolet. Very good shopping experience and would highly recommend Factory Pure and Drolet for similar items!
This unit did come well packaged. Our install was straight forward, I would have like to see the stove liner adapter have predrilled screw attachment points. It was nice the interior brick was installed and placed from factory. It was great that liner kit and everything came with this unit. I would purchase from FactoryPure again.
Just installed, so far so good , a few issues with paint due to shipping but otherwise seems to be working well
I was quoted 16k to Instal a wood insert. That was crazy; bought the Drolet 1800 insert and it’s cranked 600 degrees for 4 hours 3 splits of wood. Super efficient, easy to insulate and stuff 6” 35’ liner in the old chimney after grounding out the old damper system for clearance. Bought a harbor freight 1000 lifting table to move and raise stove without lifting manually. Worked super slick and cut broom stick handles to roll in place.
Super helpful in obtaining a beautiful stove. I would totally purchase from them again.
