    Ashley Hearth Pedestal wood stove 3200 sh.ft.

    Kinda disappointed with it. Doesn't put out as much heat as our old Earth wood stove. Expected it to be much better.

    Could be perfect, with a few changes.

    It puts out good heat, the blower is nice, being adjustable. Long fire box accepts longer wood. Now for the bad. The shelf for the ashpan only goes part of the way back, therefore ashes will accumulate under the stove without being able to get. To get the ashes, you have to push through a small square hole that you lift out. You either have to let the fire go out or lose a lot of hot coals. My old stove allowed them to drop through grates into the ash pan, keeping the bigger coals in the firebox. It also would allow the ashes to free fall into the ashpan, on its own, requiring less effort. The old stove also had a sealed ash pan that you could crack open to start a fire. Closing both dampers still allows the fire to burn like a runaway train and will most likely be burned up and out by the morning. I installed a stove pipe damper to close at night so it would slow burn all night.

    I paid a lot of money to buy it, but I am not satisfied because the quality is poor and the parts are damaged because it is a Chinese product.

    A great wood stove

    Estes Trucking did a great job delivering the stove with Zero damage. the shipping crate was designed well to protect the stove during shipment.
    Some tools are required to assemble the pedestal properly. it helps to have help to tip the stove on its back to attach the pedestal and to stand upright again. The assembly instructions could use a big improvement especially determining what is the left side and right side of the pedestal.
    The stove works great it is nice to have clean smoke that doesn't stink again. Overall i would recommend this product. What you get for the price is a very nice looking and functioning wood stove. Stay warm!
